A solution for larger scale sites
The A900 is the most widely used machine in our collection – often implemented by large-scale hotels, universities, and remote islands across the globe.
The Composter can process up to 215 litres of food waste per day but has only one moving part and incredibly low running and maintenance requirements.
Helping businesses, education and hospitality establishments across the world to recover the resource potential from their food waste, our A900 Rocket model is a composting tool celebrated by many users worldwide.
A900 Rocket Composter
- Case studies
With its 215-litre daily processing capacity, it’s an ideal choice for larger organisations or those with multiple sites or campuses, looking for a long-term food waste recycling solution.
As well as creating a nutrient-rich compost resource in just 14 days, the A900 is also a key player in helping sites to improve their carbon footprint – reducing the number of off-site disposal trucks or eliminating them entirely.
It is designed to easily process a range of organic wastes, such as cooked and uncooked meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, alongside garden and animal waste (including some types of bedding).
This particular in-vessel composter is used by many brands such as South Lodge Hotel, City of Glasgow College, Bank of America, HM Prison Service and British Petroleum – to name a few.
You can increase your overall capacity by first processing food waste with our Dehydra Dewaterer. This equipment chops up and removes liquids first, before feeding it into the composter, to significantly increase the overall throughput (see below).
Alternatively, it can also form part of a fully containerised system in our Comptainer – a space which allows two composting units to be housed side by side.>

Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives
This luxury Maldivian island resort sought an alternative to landfill for its 109,500 kilos of annual food waste, so it invested in an A900 Rocket Composter and Dehydra Dewaterer, which supports its fruit and vegetable growing project in the resort gardens.Read more
City of Glasgow College, Scotland
Our A900 Rocket Composter is helping the college to process 26 tonnes of food waste per year on site. It’s also facilitating the reduction of city pollution, by omitting the need for weekly disposal truck visits, which previously collected the material for off-site processing.Read more
Spiecapag – Entrepose Group, Albania
Our A900 Rocket Food Waste Composters are being used at a gas pipeline project in Southeastern Europe. Along the 84-mile pipeline, the various workers’ camps generate between 150-300kgs of food waste per day. And, as there are no local facilities which can process this waste stream, the oil and gas firm invested in on-site equipment to turn the waste into a nutrient rich compost, for use in the restoration of the lands around the pipeline.Read more
